Pope beatifies a Mass Murderer – after canonising another
Stepinac, Archbishop of Zagreb during World War II, was the very opposite of a saint: he approved, directed and perpetrated mass murder in the name and employ of the Vatican.
Professor Arthur Noble
In October, 1998, Pope John Paul II paid a visit to Croatia to
beatify Cardinal Alojsije Stepinac. Beatification in the Church of Rome is only
one step away from nomination to sainthood. Writers such as Avro Manhattan
(Catholic Terror Today) and Edmond Paris (The Vatican against
Europe) have recounted in horrific detail how Stepinac, Archbishop of Zagreb
during World War II, was the very opposite of a saint: he approved, directed and
perpetrated mass murder in the name and employ of the Vatican.
The English Churchman recently carried the following
comment:
The real activities of Stepinac during World War II are
graphically documented in the chapter entitled "Monsignor Stepinac's
Croatia" in Edmund Paris' book The Vatican against Europe. Having
"welcomed the creation of the Nazi puppet Croat state", Stepinac sat
in the Ustashi Parliament which approved the policy of extermination of the
Russian Orthodox Church and the Jews, Gypsies and communists. Stepinac wrote in
the Croatian Sentinel on 1st January, 1942: "Hitler is an envoy of
God."
It is not possible to repeat here all the horrors of the forced
conversions, the slow tortures and the ugly deaths of the resisting Serbs.
Throughout 1942 Stepinac wore Ustashi decorations, attended all their important
official meetings and made speeches.
What is more, it comes as no real surprise when the Catholic
Times of 11th October this year [1998] reports Stepinac's beatification
under the headline "A surprise endorsement".
The paper proceeds to describe the gratitude of the head of the
Croatian Jewish community for Stepinac's intervention later in the war. This is
in keeping with Edmund Paris' account. He says: "It is true that at the end
of 1943, when everyone saw that the Nazis and Fascists were losing, Monsignor
Stepinac took certain steps to provide for the future."
However, at his trial for war crimes in the Autumn of 1946 the
evidence of his not only having consented to but also having
"organised" Ustashi units and "crusaders" for the purpose of
forcing Serbs to convert to Rome was overwhelming, and he was sentenced to 16
years' hard labour."
Stepinac a saint? It is with typical brazen effrontery that
Rome projects this notorious satanic monster as a candidate for
sainthood.

Several were herded into their churches and burned alive, hung by the neck, disembowelled or stabbed to death, like Protestants in Ireland under Phelim O'Neill in 1641 and during the 1798 Rebellion.

Documents in the United Nations Archives in New York and the
Yugoslav National Archives in Belgrade record how under Stepinac the Roman
Catholic Church forcibly converted about one million Orthodox Serbs to her evil
system and set up concentration camps where her ecclesiastics, including priests
and monks, coolly tortured and executed a quarter of a million non-Roman
Catholics who refused to bow the knee to her jackboot. Several were herded into
their churches and burned alive, hung by the neck, disembowelled or stabbed to
death, like Protestants in Ireland under Phelim O'Neill in 1641 and during the
1798 Rebellion.
These documents, together with the books by Manhattan and
Paris, are vital reading for all who have been deceived by the mellifluous
language of ecumenism emanating from an organisation which continues to boast
that it will never change. They serve as a dire warning to all who would
associate with and aid the Romanist murder-machine towards regaining power in
the democracies of Europe and the world.
In taking sides against the Serbs in the present Yugoslav
conflict, Clinton and Blair stand condemned for deserting one of our most
courageous wartime allies. Britain and America stand exposed for carrying out
the policy of the Vatican in the context of the European Union - a
creation which the Papal Nuncio in Brussels has called "a [Roman] Catholic
confederation of states" and in which the Vatican's goal is to marginalise
Protestants, Eastern Orthodox Christians and all others who refuse to submit to
her persecuting system.
Papal aggression against the Protestant peoples of the European
"Catholic Superstate" envisaged by John XXIII had already turned
eastwards in 1997, when the self-professed "Vicar of Christ" made a
visit to the Czech Republic for a similar purpose. After holding an open-air
mass in Prague, he went to Olomouc in northern Moravia, where he canonised a
notorious anti-Protestant priest who was executed for treason in 1620 after he
brutally converted Protestants to popery and arranged the slaughter of those who
resisted. He also took over a southern Moravian Protestant parish after
collaborating with Jesuits to evict its resident minister.

The canonisation of this Romanist thug, Jan Sarkander (1576-1620), caused widespread anger among Czech Protestants.

The canonisation of this Romanist thug, Jan Sarkander
(1576-1620), caused widespread anger among Czech Protestants. Five of the
evangelical church leaders who were due to meet John Paul II at an ecumenical
round table were so infuriated that they boycotted the meeting. Pavel Smetana,
chairman of the executive committee of the Ecumenical Council of Churches, said
that the choice of Sarkander, described as "aggressive and greedy",
would adversely affect relations between the Churches. He reminded the Pope that
Sarkander was a representative of "the violent reconversion of Moravia to
Catholicism". Czech National identity is intertwined with this crushed
Protestant heritage.
Predictably, however, the Pope ignored the facts and stressed
unity as the keynote of this visit. At an open-air mass in Prague on May 20 he
described the Protestant protest as merely "a tragic moment of religious
discord".
The Vatican's concept of a "peace process", as usual,
involved a deliberate falsification of history that assures the elevation of
thugs and murderers to the status of celebrities and saints. Ulster Protestants
more than any others have been the victims of the same fascist tactics. They are
well summarised in the following translation of an extract from the book With
God and the Fascists by the German historian Karlheinz Deschner (Stuttgart,
1965). Deschner's intimate knowledge of Vatican politics enables him to reveal
that the Vatican's relationship to fascist régimes including that of Nazi
Germany was not merely one of collaboration, but of active involvement. I have
translated the following extract from the original German:
While the realisation has recently increased that the [Roman
Catholic] Church at least collaborated with the Nazi régime, broad
circles are still unaware that the Catholic hierarchy systematically supported
all the fascist states from their inception and thus decisively became an
accomplice to the death of sixty million human beings [in World War II].
In Italy the collusion between the Vatican and fascism began as
early as 1922, even before the famous 'March on Rome', and continued into the
Second World War via the Lateran Treaties and the brilliantly successful rape of
Abyssinia which was facilitated by the Italian bishops and the Vatican
itself.
In Spain the bishops, there too supported by the Pope,
instigated an uprising as early as 1933 against the legal Republican government
and called for a Christian "crusade". Their battle-cry: 'Long live
Death! Down with Intelligence!'
In Germany the Vatican's collusion with Hitler most probably
began even before his seizure of power, but in any case immediately afterwards;
it did not reach its height until the middle of the War, after the attack on the
Soviet Union that had been so long dreamed of by the Catholic Church, as is
proved by the mutual pastoral letters exchanged between the German and Austrian
bishops - letters which could never have been written without the approval of
the curia.
In Yugoslavia, between 1941 and 1945, likewise with the full
support of the Catholic clergy, 299 Orthodox churches were destroyed, 240,000
Orthodox Serbs forcibly converted to Catholicism and about 750,000 Orthodox
Christians murdered, frequently after gruesome torture.
I consider it an honour to be slandered [for revealing these
facts] by a Church which not only persecuted and massacred millions in the
Middle Ages, but which even in the twentieth century supported the man who is
undoubtedly the greatest criminal of all time.

The beatification and canonisation of these murdering thugs has
not drawn as much as a solitary squeak of protest from the leaders of the
ecumenical churches in the United Kingdom. One by one these pathetic dupes have
appeased the apostate system whose head their confessions of faith declare to be
the Antichrist. They have without exception treacherously and shamelessly
renounced their solemn ordination vows to uphold the Protestant faith. Today in
Northern Ireland, instead of preaching the Gospel, they publicly strut around in
their stupor with the emissary of the Vatican, desperately seeking compromise
and unity with a 'Church' whose murderer-beatifying Pontiff recently re-declared
its dogmas to be "unalterable". As George Steiner once said in
Language and Silence: "Men are accomplices to that which leaves them
indifferent."

Archbishop Stepinac (right) at an Ustashi meeting with (right
to left) General Roata, Commander of the Fascist Forces of Occupation in
Yugoslavia, and other Nazis. As "Supreme Military Apostolic Vicar of the
Ustashi Army", Stepinac participated in military and political functions,
mingling with Fascist, Nazi and Ustashi Commanders.

A Roman Catholic priest forcibly "converting" a whole
village of Orthodox Serbs. 'Father' Ante Djuric, of the District of Dvor, always
opened his "sermons" with the following preliminary: "The
Orthodox of this District have only three ways out: to accept the Catholic
faith, to move out [leaving behind them all their possessions], or to be
cleansed with the metal broom."

Failure to accept one of the three threats resulted in a rash
of mass executions such as the public hanging of Orthodox Serbs in Sarajevo,
1945, depicted above.
