Honouring The Roman Catholic Archbishop
‘Just after hearing that he is to receive an honorary degree from his former university, the leader of Scotland’s Catholics has this week learned that two other top universities are to confer similar honours on him.

Following the University of Edinburgh’s decision to award an honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity to Cardinal Keith O’Brien, St Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Canada, has revealed that it is electing him an honorary Doctor of Law. The area has strong links with Scotland due to immigration.

And in addition, the University of St Andrews has indicated that its Senate wish to confer an honorary Doctorate of Divinity on Cardinal O’Brien, who has strong personal links with the town.’
